Limited Edition - 78 Tarot 10th Anniversary Deck - Celebration of Global Tarot Art

I am sorry this is basically a cross post from our other campaign that we are trying to fulfill so forgive me if you see it twice I just want to be sure I’m updating regularly with full transparency 💕 

First, I truly want to thank everyone again for their support, incredible kindness, and understanding. I can’t say enough how much it means not just to me, but to all creators navigating hard times right now.

I don’t have any new updates on the tariffs yet, but I’m continuing to work on ways to raise the funds we need.

Selling the inventory we currently have doesn’t leave us with anything extra. This is a passion project, which means we don’t profit. In a way, it’s like a non-profit. Everything we earn goes straight into fulfillment, storage, advertising, fees, and the various subscriptions we need just to keep things running. I want to be fully transparent about that. From the start, this has always been about the joy of making meaningful, beautiful art together.

Thank you for putting your trust and love in us. It means the world. I wish there were more ways to show how deeply grateful I am that you’re still here cheering for us. I’ll continue to share updates every few weeks and truly hope I have good news to report soon.

Hi everyone,

First off, thank you. Again. I know I repeat myself but I just need to reiterate. Your kindness and understanding during all of this has meant more to me than I can say. I have been doing absolutely everything I can to figure this out, even though it has honestly felt overwhelming at times. 

When we launched this project, the tariff on our decks was around ten percent. That was expected and part of our normal cost. But it currently sits at roughly 54%. That kind of increase has been devastating for so many small creators like us, and we were not prepared for it. We never imagined this would happen.

That said, I am not giving up. I have applied for several loans to try and cover the extra fees. I am also looking into whether we can do partial shipments to get things moving. On top of that, I am seeing if there is any way to float the cost of using a fulfillment center directly in China so we might avoid some of the import fees.

I am managing this while also trying to fulfill another delayed project. Normally I have help from Trish, but she has been taking care of a very sick family member and has not been able to be online. So right now it is just me, doing my best to keep it all moving.

Because this is the very last of our 81-artist decks, I plan on making it as special as I possibly can. I want to end this chapter with heart and beauty. I hope it is worth the wait. I promise to keep the magic just as amazing as it has always been.

Hello everyone! 

Just popping in for a quick update. There’s still a hold-up getting the decks into your hands but we’re feeling hopeful!!! 

Finally some good news, there’s a legal challenge in motion and a major hearing is scheduled for the end of July. If things go well we could finally see those tariffs lifted or changed which would make it possible for us to move forward!!! I am extremely hopeful, these tariffs are not popular and nobody wants them. 

This has been such a long journey and your patience and support mean the world. We’re staying ready and hopeful and I’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear more!

At this point, we’re not even sure what the future of 78 Tarot looks like. That’s a heartbreaking thing to admit, but I want to be transparent with you, always.

Hello!

I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people who either A. Do not understand tariffs, or B. Did not fully understand my timeline.

I realize tariffs can be confusing, so let me break this down clearly:

The decks and all add-ons are currently in China. Importing them from China to the USA now incurs a 145% tariff. This means we have to pay customs 145% of the declared value.

I sincerely want to thank everyone for your patience and kindness while we navigate this issue. Unfortunately, it’s not a simple fix—though I truly wish it was. Many indie creators are facing the same challenges, and all we ask for is patience and grace. To everyone who has extended that to me, thank you deeply.

For now, I’m gathering all the files and providing everyone with digital links. I understand this isn’t the same as holding the physical deck, but until we can safely transport these items to a port that doesn’t impose these extreme tariffs, this is the best solution available.

I’ve been crowdfunding and running our business for ten years. Those who’ve been with us from the start know that I pride myself on responsibility and transparency. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me directly—I don’t receive notifications for comments, and Trish is currently busy with family matters and unable to manage comment responses as she usually does.

Thank you again for your kindness and patience. It truly helps us get through one of the toughest and most challenging periods we’ve ever faced.

As soon as we have a solution to this problem I will let you know. Hopefully sooner than later. Nobody wants to fulfill this project more than we do.
